Dual DisplayPort 1.2 Video Capture Card
The professional AV market has widely adopted 4K UHD technologies, with integrators and system builders demanding higher performance and greater resolutions in the video they're working with. The XtremeDV-DP2 gives video professionals the ability to simultaneously capture multiple 4K, Ultra-High Definition video feeds each at 60 frames per second, offering unmatched capture performance and reliability as part of the wider Xtreme capture card family.
Built on a single PCIe endpoint, more cards and captures can be placed within a single system than with older architectures. DirectShow WDM streaming driver support covers Microsoft Media Encoder, VLC, VirtualDub and any other DirectShow-compatible encoding software, so captured video can be compressed, streamed and replayed with standard Windows tools.
DisplayPort 1.2 sources are common on workstation graphics cards and simulation/training rigs, so the XtremeDV-DP2 suits projects capturing directly from PC/workstation outputs rather than consumer AV gear — control room operator workstations, flight/vehicle simulators, and high-end visualisation feeds. The locking DisplayPort connectors are a genuine benefit in permanent installations where a loose HDMI cable would be a real risk.
If the source hardware only offers HDMI, the XtremeDV-UHD2 is the more direct fit; if you need four lower-cost SD/HD analogue inputs instead, look at the XtremeRGB range.
