XtremeVision DRIVER DEVELOPMENTS
Our new release of the XtremeVision driver now supports: Portrait mode, Multi-Resolution and Overlapfacility. Furthermore provides an API for Banners and Transitions. Wall Control and XtremeVision is now shipped with MultiRes Configuration Utility, which also providesthe facility to set resolution and rotation of the individual screens that are making up the videowall. This can be found on our website under the current drivers section called Multi-screenutilities and diagnostic tools.
PORTRAIT
The XtremeVision driver supports image rotation of 90, 180 and 270 degrees allowing landscape displays to 90, 180 and 270 degrees, allowing landscape displays tobe rotated in to portrait orientation or used upside down.
MULTI-RESOLUTION
The XtremeVision driver supports heterogeneous display walls. The most common scenario is several groups of monitors that are run at different resolutions and/or refresh-rates. This feature allows a single controller to be used to create multiple smaller display walls e.g. across several rooms.
OVERLAP
The XtremeVision driver with minimum v6.2.3 of the XtremeRGB driver supports overlapping of XtremeVision output images. This allows display walls to be created with Edge-Blending projectors.
NEW DRIVER API FOR TRANSITIONS & BANNERS
The XtremeVision driver provides driver-level APIs for GPU assisted, frame-synchronized textbanners. There is a user-level API and sample application showing how screen areas can be"frozen" and their contents updates in the background. The new image can then be revealedusing a number of transition effects that are GPU accelerated and frame-synchronized.
A Video/Data wall makes it possible to view all information on a virtually large high resolution display comprising of many "smaller" screens using Plasma/LCD/Projectors or normal CRT Monitors. The entire video/data wall will act as one large Windows desktop, hence applications can be launched and placed onto any single or combination of screens if not fully maximized onto all available screens. The source of the displayed objects can be data from your PC, e.g. PowerPoint Presentation, Flash, internet browser, Graphical Data/Charts, Share index's, Control room data etc..
