The Avant series of PCI video overlay cards work in conjunction with the
Vigilant series of multi-screen graphics controllers. There are two version of the Avant overlay cards;
-
Avant-9, 9 channel video overlay card - use with Vigilant-Pro
-
Avant-SQ16, 16 channel video overlay card - use with Vigilant-SQ or Vigilant-XSQ
The Avant-9 nine channel video overlay card requires the
Vigilant-Pro quad channel graphics controller.
When combined with the
Vigilant-Pro,
this then provides up to 9 separate video overlay windows over four screen display if only one Vigilant-Pro is installed. For systems that require more than 9 overlay windows, up to 4 x Avant-9 cards can be
installed per 1 x Vigilant-Pro card enabling a total of 36 video windows.
As an example, if 2 x Vigilant-Pro cards are installed within a PC, then each Vigilant-Pro can have 4 x Avant cards, hence a total of 2 Vigilant-Pro x 4 Avant cards. Eight Avants in total times 9 overlays
per card totalling: 72 video overlay windows. All displayed in REAL-TIME with very little CPU overheads. The
Avant-16SQ video overlay card
is the ultimate video capture card providing superior performance and virtually unrestricted video capture capabilities with a
single or mult-screen configuration. The
Avant-16SQ requires either the
Vigilant-SQ or the
Vigilant-XSQ when combined with the either of these cards the Avant-SQ16 captures and
displays up to 16 separate video overlay windows in real-time onto your Windows desktop. The above example also applies here,
however in this case with 8 Avant-SQ16 you would have 128 overlay windows over a video/data wall of 8 screens using 2 x Vigilant-SQ or XSQ.
All video overlay windows can reside on the same screen or can be scattered anywhere around the video wall. The overlay windows can be independently scaled up/down, overlapped, have video in video etc...,
with the Avant-16SQ there is also an on-board 32 x 16 video matrix switcher.
This enables 16 out of 32 inputs to be displayed in any combination or selective windows. |

The above illustrates a 4x4 video/data wall with Virtual Windows desktop and 9 video overlays
