Models:

• VxSwitch16-V. This is used with the Vigilant-Plus or Vigilant-Pro. Only a single input cable is supplied as shown in the above image. The remaining IDC flat cables are connected directly from the VxSwitch header pins to the Vigilant graphics controllers.
• VxSwitch-SA. A general purpose stand alone Video Switch.
  This version is supplied with two multi-way splitter cables for connecting video inputs and outputs Each cable comprises of a 26 way D plug connected to 16 BNC sockets via individual co-ax cables. (Cable length is 600mm).
  
  
  
  Note the inputs and outputs are also available on-board via header pins, these can be used for custom applications or the outputs can be connected direct to the Vigilant multi-screen cards

VxSwitch Connecting to the Vigilant Card

 The VxSwitch is connected to the MultiScreen Vigilant-Plus cards via inter-card ribbon cables, enabling the Vigilant-Plus video overlays to select 1 of 16 possible video sources. The VxSwitch supports up to four Vigilant-Plus cards.

Connector J3 on the Vigitant-Plus is also used for the VIM (Video Input Module)

VxSwitch Connecting to the Avant Card:

Hence 16 inputs to the VxSwitch, and out of 16 video outputs: 9 outputs are used by the Avant, and 7 outputs still remaining which can be used to route video to monitors, projectors, to the conference or board room etc...

 
You can also use the VxSwitch stand alone version with the Avant card to increase the number of video inputs and enable each Avant window to display any of the inputs.
