The Vigilant-X range of PCI graphics adapters offers the ultimate solution for high specification video and data wall applications. Vigilant-X provides the highest performance graphics processing combined with lower power operation allowing up to sixteen cards in a single PC. The VigilantX-Plus offers a lower cost option for video overlays, providing one overlay per display and on-board 16 x 8 video matrix switch. The VigilantX-HQ also provides one video overlay processor per display channel combined with 256Mb of overlay supporting up to sixteen overlay windows per display channel with tripple buffering.

The Vigilant-X range of products are supplied with the EMS VigiControl - Wall Controller software which provides full intuitive control of the video overlay windows.

Vigilant-X

Vigilant-X operates with the Windows® XP operating system and spreads the Windows® desktop across the multi-screen display. Windows® applications can be positioned and sized anywhere on the desktop. The Windows® operarting system sees the multi-screen display as one large desktop.

VigilantX-Plus

VigilantX-Plus video overlays provide one overlay window per display channel. The overlays can be positioned and sized anywhere across the multi-screen display. The restriction is that no more than one overlay may be opened on the same screen. VigilantX-Plus is used in conjunction with the Video Input Module (VIM) for inputting video sources. Various input modules are available and support up to one hundred and twenty-eight video inputs. Each overlay window can select anyone of the available inputs for display.

The VigilantX-Plus has all the same features as the Vigilant-X and in addition:

Four high quality video overlays, each at 720 x 560 (One overlay per channel)
Four PAL/NTSC/SECAM or S-video decoders
Four high quality de-interlaced video overlays with tripple buffering
In built 16 x 8 video matrix switch supporting sixteen composite or eight S-video inputs

Video Input Options for the VigilantX-Plus

VIM	The VIM provides four composite or two S-video inputs. Use up to four VIM modules to support up to sixteen composite or eight S-video inputs. The VIM is available with either RCA or BNC input connectors
VxSwitch32-H	For systems needing more than sixteen inputs, use a single or multiple VxSwitch32-H cards to increase the number of inputs to thirty-two, sixty-four, ninety-six or one hundred and twenty-eight. (one, two, three or four VxSwitch32-H cards) The VxSwitch32-H is supplied with two BNC16-cables or the optional PANEL-16A

Software Features

Drivers

Special multi-screen display driver for use with Windows® 2000 and Windows® XP. The function of the display driver is to present one large desktop to the Windows operating system. The multi-screen driver will support up to a maximum of 64 screens.

Wall Control

EMS VigiControl software enables you to configure your multi-screen display, launch video overlays and create a wall layout configuration, it is possible to save layouts and recall them for future use.
Vigi Control presents a representational window of the entire display wall showing position and size of video overlay windows, RGB windows (if used in conjunction with the PhynxRGB product) and control dialogs for Vx Switch.
It is possible to operate Wall Control on a remote PC via a network connection.

Application Guide:

The EMS Vigilant-X range of graphics cards can be used as a simple 4 screen desktop display or a multiple 64 screen data/video wall.
