EMS frame grabbers or video capture cards are used in most applications where video signal needs to be recorded or streamed. As an example they are used for capturing and recording a radar or a simulator screen, or recording product presentations or visualization and archiving medical equipment. They are used as a video input device for digital video recording, video streaming over LAN/WAN
The EMS XtremeVision is also compatible with the XtremeRGB range of video capture cards for systems requiring SD, HD, RGB or DVI video overlays. Video windows can be positioned and sized anywhere on the multi display.
Using the XtremeRGB range of video capture cards combined with the XtremeVision, high end video wall systems can be constructed supporting up to 40 displays with 128 SD windows and 32 HD/RGB/DVI windows.
By using standard Windows video capturing applications such as Media Encoder, VirtualDub or VideoLAN, you simply need to install the board, the supplied device driver also downloadable from our downloads page, re-boot the system and then the video capture cards are ready to be used for capturing, displaying, recording or video streaming right away. If you need the video capture facility within your own developed application then you can use our SDK or DirectX SDK from Microsoft and implement any special function according to your application need. We include various sample application code to speed the development along, software as well as hardware support is available from us to resolve any issues.
