Analogue Video Out with Splitscreen
The Video Out offers two modes – single screen and split-screen mode. Both modes are freely configurable. All possible connected cameras can be displayed.
Four parallel Video streams
The simultaneous processing of four video streams offers a maximum frame rate of 100 f/s. In multi-board operation with up to 4 boards in one PC, 400 f/s with 16 cameras are possible.
MJPEG-compression and MJPEG-decompression
The DORADOquattro supports the MJPEG compression process. With a worldwide distribution of around 70 %, this standard is the most popular compression process in security systems. The codec offers outstanding picture quality. Only 660MB are generated per hour with continuous recording and full speed. In the motion-related recording mode, you can even record several weeks on a standard commercial hard disc.
Ready for the future
Due to its DSP-based architecture, it is possible to upgrade the DORADOquattro to a different compression codec in the future.
Connectors for camera 5 to 20
Easily scalable to 20 cameras. The multiplexed mode offers enough speed to fulfil the German “UVV-Kassen”guidelines for financial institute surveillance.
Digital I/O
The four trigger inputs, eight digital inputs and eight digital outputs allow direct interaction with peripheral devices such as light barriers, door contacts, sirens or gates. The optional I/O Board extension handles up to 24V and 100 mA.
Integrated Motion Detection
The DORADOquattro offers an integrated motion detector, which runs on the DSP without any CPU load. It is easy to configure and allows the definition of
polygenic masks. These hot spots are configurable for every single camera. The underlying algorithm comes from our popular iGuard© video surveillance solution.
Multi board operation
The DORADOquattro driver allows simultaneous operation of up to four boards in one computer. This enables you to increase the performance of your application without any problems.
Hardware Watchdog
The integrated hardware watchdog controls the function of the system. If it gets into an unstable state, the watchdog resets the system.
Accessories:
Optionally, we offer I/O boards, Video expansion boards and Break out cable.
The new DORADO SDK allows easy and fast integration due to its modular concept.
Generating a surveillance scenario is as easy as playing with building bricks. Choose the necessary modules, arrange them in the needed order and program
their parameters – ready!
Approved and extremely flexible architecture
The SDK decouples the hardware from the application. This allows easy
migrations to future technology.
Information overlay for perfect identification
With the DORADOquattro you have the possibility of overlaying additional
information on the display using hardware on the board. Up to 4 lines of 32 characters are written permanently into the video image. You choose the position, the text and the background colour.
Flexible image display – to suit your needs completely
Images are displayed via Windows Bitmap display with CPU load or via DirectDraw without CPU load on the PC’s VGA screen. The size of the image display can be scaled down depending on the display mode by activating the hardware
scalar or using software scaling. The EMS development library supports DirectDraw and makes you independent from your VGA board.
Plug and play
Like all EMS products, the DORADOquattro comes with demo software – executable and in source code to give an overview
of the ability of the board.
